Classic Ribbons

These silk ribbons are slightly thicker than the featherlight ribbons and have a lustrous sheen and soft and supple flow.  These are my most popular of ribbons.  All ribbons are hand torn and frayed on both sides.   With natural dyeing you may get a few streaks of dark or light colour popping up on the ribbon , but that is all part of the process.  Every batch of dye is made from plants ( seeds, leaves, bark, fruit) and is a slow process.  The dye is made first and then the ribbons are dyed.  So every ribbons is  a unique one of a kind colour.  These ribbons come in both one metre and two metre lengths.   Half an inch and a quarter inch ribbons are available upon request.  Colours may not be exactly as shown.  Batches of ribbons may vary slightly in colour.
